8th International Film Festival in Bratislava December 1-9, 2006
The Ecumenical Jury at awarded its Prize to the Italian film
Anche libero va bene (Along the Ridge) by Kim Rossi Stuart.

"Well shaped and well acted characters give strength to the story of a family facing the absence of the mother. The film points out the meaning of cohesion of family, as a place where, by a mutual and difficult dialogue, the basic human values are being formed."
A Commendation was given to
Khadak by Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth (Belgium/Germany/Netherlands).
"For a sensitive depiction of Mongolian shepherds who were forced by the regime to move to the industrial centre. Pure and deep cinematographic language highlights man’s desire to find a place in one’s life, to create a balanced relationship with nature and to understand the spiritual essence of human being."
Members of the Jury: Michael Otrisal (Czech republic), Marek Polacek (Slovakia), Roxana Rotaru (Romania).
