The Ecumenical Jury awards the Ecumenical Film Prize to
Max Embarrassing (Max Pinlig) by Lotte Svendsen, Denmark 2008

The film tells the story of Max, a teenage boy living with his “embarrassing” single mother, trying to overcome the daily problems of adolescence , while discovering that his friends have also challenges and secrets of their own. Friendship, family, solidarity and tolerance are highlighted in a beautiful artistic film. The story is well developed and narrated in an original and humoristic way, through the eyes of Max, allowing teenagers worldwide to identify with his life. A Commendation was given for the family adventures film
