AWARD OF THE ECUMENICAL JURY

The Ecumenical Jury, appointed by INTERFILM and SIGNIS, has given its Prize to film

ODUMIRANJE (WITHERING)
directed by Milos Pusic, Serbia/Switzerland, 2013

Motivation: The film takes us into the depth of a moral dilemma by reflecting upon rural exodus, generational conflict and broken relationships. In a provocative way it forces us to reconsider the 4th commandment: honour your parents. Metaphorically, the film depicts a destroyed paradise by way of persuasive characters, desperately in need of forgiveness.
